It's the early 1920's and Dodge Connolly, a professional football player, is determined to guide his team from bar brawls to packed stadiums. But after the players lose their sponsor and the entire league faces certain collapse, Dodge convinces a college football star Carter "Bullet" Rutherford to join his team hoping it will attract fans and cash. Rutherford is loved by thousands because of his heroic act in the war and because of his outstanding performances on the field.
Rumors arise, however, that Rutherford's so called act of heroism during the war wasn't all that true. The local tribune hires their best and most beautiful reporter Lexie Littleton to "cook Rutherford's goose" and show the aspiring football player for what he really is: a lucky coward.
Tensions rise when both Dodge and Bullet fall in love with the reporter, and when football slowly changes into the sport it is today (with a rulebook), rather than a fun, anything goes game.

This movie was great. I laughed alot. I recomend it to everyone.

Was Jenna Fischer in this movie?
Hahaha, no. That would be funny, though.
