Synopsis: In the distant future, a small waste collecting robot that slowly begins to become sentient inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.


Pixar studios Once again blows away the box office. It wasn't as successful as past Pixar films, but still made a nice $63 million opening weekend. Just a little side note: other up coming Pixar films within the next four years include three new titles called "Up", "Newt", and "The Bear and the Bow" along with two familiar titles like "Toy Story 3" and "Cars 2"... Just thought you'd find that interesting.

Wall-E is great for a family audience. There's great sequences of friendly humor and awesome CG animation. The first half hour of the movie you hardly hear any human voice, except for the recordings that Wall-E listens to. It has great details (both in plot and animation) that you can look for. The moral of the story, I think, is aimed towards the Global Warming issue. That is being that we need to take better care of our planet and, in the long run, ourselves.

Author's Note:
This movie had no "scary sequences or characters" that I can think of. So Nate, you could probably take Hannah to this. Unless Hannah thinks robots are scary...

Anyways... A great addition to the Pixar/Disney collection. If you have a family and are looking for a movie to see this fourth of July weekend, see this one.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

There is actually live-action in this movie! Real humans! The idea is that Earth becomes un-livable, so the humans go to space and leave robots to clean up Earth. While in space, the humans become lazy and fat and... Cartoon-ish looking! It's a weird concept that is very hard to accept. When you see this film, look at the pictures of all the starship captains on the Captain's Deck and you can see the "evolution" of the humans from real life, to cartoon people.
